INFORMATION ON THE ISS


Richard Garriott, W5KWQ will be operating Ham Radio from the International Space Station beginning around Oct 14 thru Oct 22. He could be using the callsign of NA1SS which is that of the ISS.

He will be contacting two local Space Camp Schools, Brownsburg Challenger Learning Center on Thursday, Oct 16 at about 12:39pm and the Indianapolis Challenger Learning Center on Friday, Oct 17 at about 11:30am. The Space Station WILL NOT be within direct range of Indiana for this call, so the audio will be streamed via a website; www.challenger.org There will be a link to the audio posted on the Home Page for this event.

As for the JOTA, Richard will be contacting as many Boy Scout groups as he can while circling the Earth on Sat - Sun, Oct 18-19

Richard will also be sending SSTV pictures from the ISS throughout his time there as well. This will be done on 145.800MHz, using ROBOT 36 mode.
