THE BCARA IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH ANY OTHER AMATEUR RADIO CLUB OR GROUP IN BOONE COUNTY, INDIANA. WE OPERATE A SOCIAL / INFORMATION NET ON THE N9HLL REPEATER OF 147.105MHz THURSDAY EVENINGS @ 8:00 PM. THE PURPOSE OF THIS NET IS THE GENERAL ADVANCEMENT OF AMATEUR RADIO AND ANNOUNCEMENTS TO KEEP BCARA MEMBERS AND AREA HAMS INFORMED OF NEWS AND EVENTS IN THE LOCAL AREA. WE HOPE TO PROMOTE THE FELLOWSHIP OF AMATEUR RADIO OPERATORS IN BOONE COUNTY AND THE CENTRAL INDIANA AREA.
UPCOMING INDIANA HAMFEST DATES AND BCARA ANNOUNCEMENTS
Starting January 9 through February 13, 2009 the Boone County Amateur Radio Association is sponsoring a Technician Class for the FCC entry license of Amateur Radio. The classes will on Friday evenings from 6:00 PM till 8:30 PM for 6 weeks. The Class is going to be held at the Boone County REMC Building 1207 Indianapolis Ave. Lebanon, IN.
